Nestled in the desert hills above the Dead Sea sits the community of Mitzpe Jericho. At its heart is an education complex that has brought families to the area for almost three decades.
Looking to benefit the community, the public, and the visitors to the learning center, the client requested a design that provides lookout points to the breathtaking views of the desert and sea, picnic areas for a break in the ride down to the desert, shaded sitting areas, a learning circle, and a range of local flora.
The design shifts in ambiance from the suburban built-up and refined entry with detailed stone and concrete elements, down to the rough, natural outlook using rough-cut stone slab, desert vegetation, and crawling cover plants.
