Commercial center, Gush Etzion Junction. 500 sq m 2011.
The Gush Etzion Development Company turned to me to take an old industrial building and transform it into a commercial building.
6 years on and this building is the heart of a great deal of activity for local consumers. Housing a bakery/cafe, a health food store, and an optometrist, the small but functional building uses Jerusalem stone with a simple play in texture, plane, and color to lift a commercial facade to be something a little more.
Design with the possibility of a future addition of up to 5 stories, the building bridged existing structures and new construction.
Look for the architect in the hat.
