Private house, Elazar, 2012.
Private residence (half of a semidetached house) with challenging parameters: Maximum bedrooms in minimum roof height. This allowed for a dramatic roof line, with a continuous sloping ceiling with exposed beams, leading up to a roof ridge above the bedroom story, with each of the kids’ bedrooms tucked into the roof space.
The play between different roofs reveals a triangular window that brings light deep into the house above the dining area.
Colour scheme by the mistress of the house, who knows how to have some fun!
Restored front gates by the husband, an accomplished designer himself!
